I know this took me way too long to make. Apologies :/
But I'll blame it on much to do at work, and then christmas... anyway... enough talking...
Late merry xmas, I guess, Spitfire

the trees at the top look fantastic. the grass at the bottom kinda ruins the pic though. id say take em out an just have the trees, but thats just me.
great overall mood though, it goes along with that dove pic of your's nicely.

Two comments on the grass is all I need to realise I need to fix it
Will do (though not right now - I'm kinda tired of drawing forests and stuff right now)
Thanks

i didnt want to focus on the grass, cause the rest is absolutely beautiful. i love the fireflys and the streams of light through the trees. wonderful colors throughout.
got a question. when you do a forest pic like this, do you just make layer over layer of trees, or do you just paint it all on one layer?

Sporq: I'm thinking about making the grass less "obvious" somehow. But as I said, I'm a bit too tired right now Thanks for the good advice. As to the trees...well, most of it is on the same layer - some of the branches I tried out on separate layers. The firefly, the fog, and the grass are all on different layers though
Blitz: Did I get a second mail? *pokes through her mailbox* Waah, no I didn't *pout*... Could you resend? Hotmail might've eaten it

IMHO.... get rid of that fog. It's like blah Anyway, the focus area I keep looking at is either the sun or the grass. The sun because it's the brightest....and the grass because it's the most detailed and has those oh so cool mushrooms. Maybe you want to detail up the trees a bit? Anyway... very pretty image... kind of reminds me of running through the forest with a video camera. |

Very nice. The grass is nice too, but maybe just a little too tall when compared to the trees. And I don't think much moonlight would get through those tree tops, so the grass should be a little darker too. |

there's a forest for you. it's evil too, blood and all.
(original appearance in another forum, in result of spitfire's "bloody forest!" comment, which i misunderstood, i assume it was more like a "fucking forest" , not a "forest full of blood"
:p
oh, enayla, i like the forest. nobody seems to be able to draw forests properly these days. i haven't even tried, most likely 'cause i can't draw, much less can i draw forests.

Spitfire,
No,... they wouldn't be mine,... but, of course they'd be beautiful, because they'd be Enayla's. OK, sleepy happy fun time now.

Hehe, looks even more magical than the last time I saw it.
I dunno, maybe it's just me, but... well, I guess it does stand out a bit, but I like the grass. I think it just needs to be melded into the picture a bit more, maybe darkened up a bit.
On a completely irrelevant side note, I went to sleep with 2 inches of snow, and woke up with it blocking my windows. |

*Looks in because her cat woke her up*
OOoops... I got a lot of comments while I was sleeping... Neat
Seems some people like the grass, and some don't. Hm. Confusing :/
But since I made this picture for Spitfire, and he seems to like the grass... well, I'll be keeping it (though I might very well darken it down a little )
As to marriage...heheh... I don't believe in it. And the only kids I'll be having is more kitties...
I'm going back to sleep now...

I like the grass, hell i didn't even notice it too much until others mentioned it, so it wasn't drawing my eye. I especially like the light streaming through the trees.
However the fog is a little too 'swirly' for a natural setting, but if you were planning on putting the 'dove' back over this forest that would be understandable since it's wings could be causing the swirling effect.
On a lighter note I've been sitting here waiting for your next new piece of work and my ass is getting tired with this christmas delay thing happening...hurry up already :P
