Just posted this in the infamous Mech thread, but i'd like a little feedback at this stage.

Took a new approach to this one. Sketched in pencil, scanned that and then started on the coloring. I can post the original line work if anyone wants.

I like this technique - once I got the hang of it things went pretty quick. I know that the weapons don't have barrels indicated, that'll come during the detailing process.

This thing is at 45% it's original rez. Bigger IS better. Lost some detail in the downsize and conversion to JPEG, but it's not too bad.

I really like the pose!

I'll have to try some snowy pictures, i've never done this before and i just love the color tones of 'em.

Thanks Al_kgs ... pose just popped into my head one night while I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep. Now that I think about it I'm sure I was inspired by The Matrix.

Snow scenes ARE cool, but they can be a pain in the ass because you have to be pretty high up in the value range. Or something like that...

Cool. You might want to refine it as everythings got a blocky feel to it... I mean that's fine for the mech but when you get to the guns... anyway, like it very much. REminds me of virtual on.
