One day in singapore A group of comic artists
got together and decided to publish a comic book ...
The submission date is THIS SUNDAY
(7th October 2001)
and i've just colored this much and just finished the 2nd page.

Well its been awhile since I've seen someone so close to my own member number (only 8 different). Anyho, the artwork is nice and visually interesting although I'm sure your more interested in the colouring aspect. I like the style that you have going here and it is nice to see something other than a "liquid!" style of colouring (I'm not knocking that style as I like it, always nice to see something original and fresh). I think the focus and everything that you have going on in the first panel is great. The rain addes a nice atmosphere.
The next to panels just seem a bit unfinished for mine as they just seem a little flat and lacking a really polished depth feeling. In the 2nd panel, I would try to have some highlights a bit lighter and some dark shadows. At the moment it just seems a little dull with dark greens, reds, browns and greys.
In the third panel, I would place in some shadows and play around with a lighting effect.
Here are some really quick touch ups to try to illustrate the point a little:
Again they are crude but hopefully you can understand what I'm getting at. |

good stuff.. my only crit would be that the first panel seems a bit fuzzy.. and doesnt seem to match with the other two? this caught my attention. |
