here is a new 3d model. its done just for fun, has 592 triangles. u can see it running in an applet here

nice wasp, those are really annoying, since they come out of my ceiling all the time in summer (apparently there's a nest above my room, and they are attracted to the lights)
well, I'd say make the wings a bit bigger, and not as round on the edge... allso the head is more triangular with the eyes at two sides, and the moth as the third... lastly, this looks like a great allocation of polys,
I was wondering, how do you paint the textures? I have tried the Deep paint demo, and it's pretty cool, but then I always get suckered into making my mapping all abstract and weird, so photoshop can't handle repainting it |

thanx. yeah the head looks a little weird. its because all my photo reference pics dont show the front of a wasps head
i did draw the texture with photoshop. at first i set the texture-map-coordinates, than i draw the texture into this area. |
