It's about 40 degrees here, and i am melting. Can cat's survive high temperatures okay? one of my cat's is very fat and has a thick fur coat. I haven't seen her in a couple of days. I hope she isn't dead.

Anyway, i think i might be comforted if someone would tell me they live in a big pollution filled city further south and have it a lot worse off than i do

how about it? any of you have really really horrible heat where you live?

I live in New Mexico. We get 5 inches of rain a year.

350-ish clear days a year.

It's 105 degrees in the shade, where you can find it.

People move like bugs, fast and direct, from their house to their car, never lingering. The clouds would help, except they just make it humid, and trap the heat at night, so it's 94 degrees at 2:00 in the morning.

Yeah. I have almost all of you guys beat.

The conversion formula for centigrade --> fahrenheit is:

degrees in celcius * 9/5 + 32 = degrees in that other silly scale

so 40 celcius = 104 fahrenheit

edit: what i wrote didn't make much sense... my brain no function well in excessive heat

I guess I shouldn't complain, but the temperature here in Victoria is 28c, it's so frigging hot under the sun and there isn't a single cloud in sight. I'm getting a headache from the heat (it isn't usually this hot here).
