OK...given the time constraints..
I didn't do this in MSP because..I wanted to check the proportions and measurements carefully when I finished..It is a study/ learning project. I needed to know if there were serious or even minor mistakes in proportion..
It is free hand..Reference is on the link you posted..

You know what I say to that? PAINK!
NB This was written before the previous post edit (and I'm not gonna change it now). :) Anyone who gets whiplash from this image, please do not sue. |

I can't discuss it until I talk to my lawyer. Anyone know a good lawyer?
The image is just a grid/paint bucket click-o-rama - evidence I'm stalled for a subject. Re "BAMBOO?", yeah, never thought of that. :) No eye lash:

Edit: That's a very promising freehand skull, definitely. :) |

Speed Tanka..
A comment on Charles Simic's poem.."Hotel Infinity"
Enjambment? May be...
It lacks both rhyme and reason.
It is a lesson..
In what is knot poetry...
Crude strings of *sob* imagery
(Speed Tanka time: just a second)
(my mother says my tongue is a concealed weapon..and Joemo went and got me started again)
Last post for a while ...must go to work..Yes! |

Evil joemo.
What comes after Speed Tankas? Speed Thangkas! Ready? No? Well, got any Thangka Tankas while we're waiting? :)
I wanted to have something new to post (along with this text) but it's a sculpture (a beginning) and I won't have pics for a while (until I've got something worth showing). I've always wondered about the geometry of Tibetan sculpture, now I'm learning (in the round). It's a hoot. :) |

The sculpture morphed into something else (and then something else - damndest thing I've ever seen). Meanwhile, found a local supplier of Plastilina so I'll have more to work with (when the shipment comes in) - fewer excuses about impulse-modelling.

Rework of an old doodle (inset). Lots wrong with it - but there it is.

Minor adjustment: added some blue to the gray, which does seem to pull the body and face together into one unit, as mentioned elsewhere (Edit: now that I look at it again, I think the colour is a bit too violet). Found some reference for the face paint but a crisp/bold rendering overpowers everything else... will either scuff up the ash (body) to match the face or - something. Interesting puzzle...

This could be addictive (blowing things up) - I see the appeal...
