My old CRT has gone RIP... For some reason the red channel no longer comes in. :sob:
So now I need to buy a new one. I kind of want a new LCD monitor, but don't know if they are any good for graphics. I also do a lot of gaming, so there could be complications with that as well. The nice thing about an LCD is that it would be easier to take to LAN parties.
I'd like any advice or input anyone could give me. |

I dont think they would make a new technology monitor if it wasnt good for graphics and games... but I think some of them are limited to 1 resolution. ei. 1024x768
Some TV repair shops also repair dead monitors.. you could probably get that red channel thing fixed at a fraction of the cost of buying a brand new thing. |

Yeah i'm sure you'll fix that old monitor for cheap (unless it was piece of poop to begin with)
Because LCDs are expensive. GOOD LCDs are very very expensive! You can buy a good CRT for the price of bad LCD, but if you got tonnsa money, just get some crazy ass LCD |

LCDs are nice for showing off your "workspace" to friends but in the middle of the night, when you are all alone..........you will wish that you had bought a 22" ViewSonic. |
