These links relate more so to animation, however, there are some good points that can be utilized in static work also.

Tthis series of tutorials is from Glenn Vilppu, you may find it interesting....

The links, I think are in order, however I have not had the time to read through them all, so they may not be.

This has also been posted in the Moser Brothers forum.

Alias Moze and Mozeman, if this works with the links this time, I think I know why it didn't post properly in your forum.

EVERYONE here should read these and be able to recite them from memory. I does not matter what your interest is.

Thanks to Glen for doing this and making it publicly available. I am going to read through them and copy each drawing. Might take a while.

I am not sure about me doing any more quick stuff. I am at a point now where I feel I should be moving very slowly, with great deliberation. Going fast reinforces all my bad habits/:

Study anything you can find by this guy. He is an invaluable teacher, and a great person. He may not be able to hear what you say, but I don't think that matters. You should say nothing around this guy. Let him do all the talking. I had him as an instructor, and I highly recommend all these. He also has a drawing book out called Glen Villpu's Guide to Drawing. One of the best out. At least I think that is what the title is. I just read the book and copy the exercises.

Take these, everyone, and learn them completely, even if you think you know your stuff, you'll find that you need to learn more...

In response to Spooge and about the 'quick paintings'. I agree totally on what you said. I tried myself to do a quick painting, no thumbnail, no reference. 20 minutes to put all the colors on the canvas, then 2,5 hours to finish it. The result: pretty bad. I am usually a slow person, so trying to do something fast was really interesting and I learned one or two things, but as Spooge was saying the main thing is that it also reinforced all my bad habits. When you don't really have the time to think about what you're doing, you're going for what you already know (like some kind of favorite rendering technique) or, even worse, for what is the easy (and cheap) way. The result was, for me, not 'dynamic' but 'rushed'. I will try to post those pics so you'll understand better what I'm talking about.
Anyway, is this 'quick painting' useful to anybody here? What kind of thing do you learn by painting fast? I would be really interested to have your opinion on this, since this exercise doesn't really work for me.

Well, looks like I found myself some studying for the next following days...

I think I'll make use of the 'make available offline' option of IE5... =)

These links are fantastic! Are they still continuing, or is that it for his online tutorials?
