OK, please count me in too!
Sounds fun, and I think the result could be amazing if the example you gave is anything to go by!
Cheers, A. |

whow, so many interrested
here is what is done so far (grey):
in fact, if you want I can add another column at the right (4 new Tiles) after I received the last tile there on the right side.
this would be then:
Blitz, Plouffe, Tinusch and ChanXiaoHing right?
I'll send mail to you as soon as your tile is ready for production
-
The only problem could be that I'll be unavailable for two days or so close to silvester and this tile picture may not be finished by then- well in this case I'd either leave you waiting or someone else who already sent his tile in and has time could manage the thing for those few days.
we'll see.. I'll spam your mail in case there is some new important stuff regarding this tiling game.
Cya till then
[EDIT we can add more tiles (I just saw the new replies) after those if enough ppl volunteer.. maybe we can even make it into a wallpaper ]

[Shizo]: you gotta wait till your surrounding tiles are done otherwise you couldnt make a seemless nuke-missile-tile. Just drink a coup of tee ..uhm vodka i mean and relax.
We have one group that makes the starter tiles (no borders) then one who makes the secondary tiles (one or two borders) and then those who make tiles with all 4 boders.
I made the list according to the replies. |

>how many are left until we see the result?
hmm lemme count.. 13 more tiles (excluding the four extra on the right side)
I guess when we would make a wallpaper we would never finish that whole thing..
A, Autopsy: I will leave it for now by those that are already in- if someone drops out or cannot make his tile I'll contact you and you can take over ok?
okay ladies and gents .. I'm looking forward to your tiles

well .. but if i post the tiles I have so far its not that "independent" any more. Then the ppl who still have to make tiles would already know what their tile borders to.
I used a different system than on the ice site because I wanted to keep the waiting time shorter for everyone.
(6x4 matrix)
this means I had 6 starter tiles (all made at the same time) then 8 tiles that have borders with starter tiles (each to be worked on as soon as the bordering starter tiles are submitted. Then tiles that have 2 or 3 borders with either starter or secondary/tertiary.. tiles and then the rest of them.
this may sound confusing but its faster than the ice method.
I cannot moderate such a big thing like on the ice site. Because it would take a lot of time to do this coordination all manually.
Progress: so far I have 11 of 24 tiles.
I'll be two days offline, I hope my email will be flooded with finished tiles when I can check it again
Cya and thanks all for you interrest in that thing
- Nex
P.S. nova, Lajun: because some dropped out of the game (on demand or because of deadline problems etc.) its pretty sure that you get one of the unassigned tiles if you want [I'll send email then]. |
