Hey, i was just curious, do any of you know a song with a lesson? Something like rap/r and b. I was planning on using Tupac's Changes, but someone else is using it (this is for school). I would be very grateful if anyone can help me!

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your help Implaer! I listen to all techno and um those dont really have lessons in them. Also, there isn't even a lesson in twinkle twinkle little star. Also, half of all other songs about fucking people and shit.

Exactly, Spitfire.

Techno isn't music. It's repetitive noise over a drum machine.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star lesson: You're never lonely, since there's always a star/friend with you. Duh.

Half of all the other songs are about fucking people and shit? I can't think of many songs about defacatory intercourse, other than Satan Loves Poo Poo.

Best song ever.

Impaler, not Implaer. It's not like keyboards don't have backspaces.

And since you thanked me twice (once in advance and once in your reply), your quite welcome.

Impaler: I'm sure your knowledge of the genre is broad enough to back up such an assertion.

Snaplekap: thanks for acting like an ass and associating it with techno. Much appreciated. As for techno with a message, try Model 500, Carl Craig, or Underground Resistance. But you may need to remove your head from your ass to find said records.

Seeing as i spent 3+ years downloading, buying, and mixing techno, not to mention the 5 years before that that i spent at real raves (not the pop-2001-disco kind), i would assume that my knowledge of the genre is quite acceptable.

And from what I've seen, 98.5% of techno is the said repetitive noise, with the other 2.5% being true music, consisting of the Chemical Brothers, Underground Resistance, and Reactor 303.

Noise can be quite pleasing, nonetheless, but it doesn't have a message.

It's hard tell someone what techno is these days. most people think trance is the only techno....when its a subgenre of dance which isnt classified as techno, just electronic.
becareful about what you think is techno since it is very diverse.

I am a tekkno artist.
QUESTION: I want to see how far you all consider techno to span...goto my site and listen to "Resquille Factor" and tell me if you think its Techno or not.

Impaler: Not all songs have lessons. It IS true that most songs have hiddden messages and a handful have lessons too, but I was looking for a song with a more obvious lesson such as time heals wounds, etc. Also, no offense, but the groups you listed suck. Listen to The Cynic Project, DJ Liquid, and DJ Jean.

Listen to me.

Every single piece of music out there, ever, is a lesson.

MUSIC IS ABOUT LEARNING, IMPROVING, TELLING A STORY. THEREFORE, EVERY REAL SONG IN EXISTENCE IS A LESSON.

It's the entire point of music, man. the entire point.

Want a song with a very obvious lesson? Listen to Radiohead; Kid A. The song? Kid A. It teaches us what the sound of childhood is. Flittering in and out and leaving quick, it's a prime lesson song.

A good song is all the songs by Poisonthewell. They are all about women ripping your heart out and burning it at a sharp stake while fucking your best friend.
