I'm working on this picture of a zombie punker chick here, and I'm running into a problem withe the skin tones. I started out just messing around, and I was working totally in blue and grey tones. I eventually realized that probably wasn't very realistic, and I threw some more common fleshy colors in there, but it really doesn't look right. I'll probably have to start over, but eh. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a more realistic-looking skin? I'm not going for decaying-rancid-corpse-zombie, I'm going more for a freshly-dead-or-well-preserved-corpse-zombie.
Thanks.

i onl have a tone palette pic for the self portrait, can have it if you want, though it's super-pale skin only..

I have to agree with Faust - it's great as it is.
If I remember right there's an option in the airbrush menue to maintain shading and lighting but change the tone - but it's long ago that I used an english version of PS; so sorry if I don't remember right - I once used this option by accident and can't remember right .
I always have the different parts like clothes, skins etc in different layers. I work in greyscale first as I still have problems with colours. When the greyscale with shading and lighting is done I only add colour to the specific layers.
But you're more the painteer, so.... |

you should get some movie stills for reference and use tones from that if you want it to look more realistic. Maybe get some pics from George Romero's Dawn of the Dead or something.. I think it's looking good as it is tho, kinda looks more the capcom resident evil style artwork which I like. |
