Hi, I know there's alot of people asking about tablets, but I haven't seen anyone ever consider the Acecad Acecat Flair. It could be that it's brand new, I just heard of it myself. Anyhow, according to the data it looks to be better than Wacoms Graphire, AND it's cheaper still (about 10%, which I guess would be about 2 McChicken Menus )
I collected the data from both manufacturers homepages. And since I'm swedish, I converted most of the inch values to metrical ones. So anyone more keen on inches, have to convert 'em back or visit the hompages :b The values have been rounded of the closest whole number.
WACOM GRAPHIRE / ACECAD ACECAT FLAIR
Active Area: 128x92mm / 127x95mm
Dimensions: 200x210x9mm / 200x195x7mm
Resolution: 1000dpi / 2540 lpi (*)
Pressurelevels: 512 / 512
Accuracy: 0.02" / 0.01"
Reading Height: 5mm / 7mm
*What's the difference between dpi and lpi?
It's smaller in size, more sensitive (resolution?,accuracy, reading height) and cheaper!? Cmon, this is to good to be true, or?
Anyone dare to admit they're using an Acecat Flair?
Does anyone have any opinions on how well they work? ...compared to Graphire?
Anyone have experience of the quality of other Acecad products?

Thanks for any answers!

Oh thanks for the info. I didn't notice anything about that weight problem on the site, nor that it used batteries. That do suck, I agree!
Thanks for telling me, saved me and some friends alot of grief.

Hm... I think that tablet is called a Dynalink Freedraw around here. It's been around for a while, and not really good.. It hasn't gotten a to high score either. Better stay away from it. |
