When it happened, everything else was fine, from Photoshop to Cute FTP..etc. ONLY Painter was fucked up.

I rebooted, SAME THING.

I SWEAR I didn't feed Painter any crack. It went psychedelic on me by itself.

At first glance it looks like a palette-mapping problem, like you used t get in the old days of working in 256 colours. Something I'm sure you know about since you used to work in games. Does the same file look this weird in Photoshop?

Make sure your Desktop is set to display 32-bit colour. Painter's picky about that...

Yeap, my desktop had changed itself to 16 bit without my knowledge.

HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? It's must be the Gremlins!

Thanks for the tips!

Lunatique: Sometimes when games crash out, the resolution and bit depth isn't corrected properly.
