i was reading isric's newest post to the forum, and I realized how cool his characters always are because of the interesting expressions on their faces. so i went over to his site and started browsing through the directory of his images, and picked out a page that looked cool. Then I kinda loosely sketched 3 faces to try to get a feel for how he does expression. sorry if this offends you or anyone if you actually sees it. then i started this drawing spree in front of my computer drawing from some references, loosely basing pictures on references, and trying to draw some without. i don't have the references though, they were just on random free picture sites. thank you mr isric. (all your filenames have mr. so i thought i would toss it in).
[edit]im retarded and can't type the right slash[edit]

Your usage of UBB is a little off. The slash on the last img is backwards.

if you are interested in facial expression, i highly recommend you check out facial expression by gary faigin. because i am masochistic, here is the proper mla citation:
Faigin, Gary. Facial Expression. New York: Watson Guptill, 1990.
(added) oh yeah, what is it about this book that is good? he provides immense anatomical reference regarding facial expression, as well as being a great artist and providing pencil refs. also incl are analyses of classic works and how they were or were not successful.

ahh i thought mr. just sounded cooler. when people call me mr. it makes me feel important ;-) this doesn't have anything to do with anything but the way you name files is helpful. i download all the cool pictures i see on this site(which is almost every picture i see) and when people give them descriptive names it makes them a lot easier to find later. |
