Hey! Very nice!! This is all photoshop, or is there some modeling/rendering involved?
No matter, the result is VERY nice! |

Frost> As my goal was *dreeeeeeamer* to go as quickly as possible (aha), I started with this
and use it as a template. So I went this way with my beloved photoshop
and in fact it's not as quick as drawing them from A to Z as I previously did in this one
So I guess, I just suck with 3D softwares...(I'm not used to it actually but I'd love to work more with it...)
I hope it clarifies a bit.. thanks for the compliments, neighbour :) and sorry for the long post.

i think everything works really great, except for where the asteroid belt meets the horizon. there would be much less detail. as well they tend to meld into a single shape/colour. from photos ive seen at least... the red streaks are distracting... |

Roundeye > imho you're extremely right ! I must've been blind, Yeah, the flash should "burn" the details it's perfectly logical. I'll correct this for the final version.. Thanks !

i like it.
Is the light to soft?
I might try making it a little brighter just to see how it looks.
on a seperate layer of course just to see how it looks maybe even turning the brushes color dodge on for just part of it.
but i always seem to over do the color dodge. |

Hey, So, good to see you again. I haven't been in space near an asteroid ring in years , but for some reason, the perspective looks a little off. It almost seems like the rocks are getting bigger as you look toward the horizon (almost like there is a stream of rocks feeding toward the planet surface, vice encircling the planet). But, this is really stunning, visually and artistically (ten minutes?). Thanks, also, for the tutorial. YOU rock. |
