Here's a head I started a few days ago. I've worked on it for about 6 hours. I probably won't do much more with it. It was just to kill some time basically. But for the amount of time I spent on it, I'm pretty happy with it.
For all you sub-division surface junkies out there, I've included a wireframe and a pic of my control cage.

i'm seeing all kinds of strange\unreal muscles scattered throughout the face. you have to keep things simpler. push the eyes in deeper and use a reference for the shapes of the lids and brow. that bum chin is too wide and the jaw looks fractured. heads are a real pain, but the simpler your make things the better it's going to look. |

That ear is too far back as well in my humble opinion. And if it is pretty much finished I would put it in gallery/finished work. More traffic there. |

Not bad dude..I like all the liberties you have taken with the wrinkles and such...but the ear seems too high, and something is amiss with the back of the jaw...and of course too symmetrical...but subdivision rules eh?

Hey thanks for all the replies guys.
Icannon, regarding the "strange/unusual muscles scattered throughout the face", I honestly can't find many of them. Looking at my referance book, I can point out most of the muscle groups on the model, but there are one or two that are kind of odd. I'll agree though that the jaw does look fractured, I'll fix that up asap.
S4Sb, I think the ear may be too far up but if anything I think it's too far forward not too far back. I think lowering it will help considerably.
NukleoN, thanks, the ear is too far up and the jaw does have some problems.
Again thanks for the comments, maybe tomorrow I'll post a revision if I have the time to. |
