Hello!
I drew this when a friend of mine was occupying my computer for a week playing D2 on Battle.net... I usually sit by my computer and discover new ways to stay bored, but now that seat was taken, so i picked up a pencil and started drawing.
It started with a hand, then I thought Id make something behind it, why not a face? I used a mirror to see how a face lookeed like, and then decided to go in to detail, so this is actually a selfportrait.
Then I rounded up by refining the hand and put a heart in it. It cant be my heart tho, Im rather certain...my hearts stolen since long... ...I kinda miss it...
I suppose this is klich, but I draw what i draw anyways.
I scanned the pic and messed around a bit with it in photoshop...
I guess Ill correct a few flaws when I get my thumbs out of my ass...
Until then you can tell me how to proceed with it! I always like comments, thats why I post stuff...

Personally, I think the little red X is off center a bit, maybe a pixel to the left would work
Good bevel on the box though, I looks forward to more of your work |

I was intrigued by the story, and really wanted to see those images... they weren't loading, but I can usually get around that by right-clicking on the little box with the red X in it, and selecting properties... cut the address, and paste it into the address window and hit go.
This is the message I got on both of your images:

PS: I figured with an address like: http://www7.ewebcity.com/sweedberg/Pics/PJwHeart%20color%20v1.jpg ... there has got to be at least one type-o... I mean: "www7." ??? I also tried www.webcity.com... but that couldn't be resolved either. Check your address carefully, before posting. It's a mistake I make, if I'm not paying close enough attention.
I can see why you're not landing many comments, though. Have another go at it, and I'll check back. |

Hmm...this is strange...theres nothing wrong with the urls, I actually cutnpasted it, since Im too lazy to write it out by hand...
it is actually www7.ewebcity.com/blahblah, eWebcitys the name Brinkster.com used before...
And, I can see the pics when I look at the page...hmm...weerd...guess ill try to fix it right now...
EDIT: Now I changed the word ewebcity to brinkster. Lets hope that will work...theyve never let me down before...not like angelfire seems proud of doing.. and since I saw the pics all along I cant tell if the change in the url made the trick...
and sparks, I have to admit that the box with the red x in it isnt my work...I ripped it from another page... I ll remove it as fast as i can!! /EDIT

I can see the pictures fine...
i like the first one a lot better than the second. you did a great job with the details, and i hate to see it all blurred out in the second one.
the only real problem i have is that the arm doesn't really seam connected to the head... or maybe its just that the forarm is a little two long and skinny. theres just something about the arm and face that doesn't look right. |

I just came back out of curiosity...
Strange... I can see it fine, now... but, nothing before... strange, eh?
BTW: It looks awesome! The second one strikes me as way too red, though... it'd be nice to see that moody red complimented by 'traditional' skin tones. Looking great, bro. |

Hmm...thats better...
Geoman, I agree with you, thats the main thing Im gonna fix...I think the arm lacks depth...it looks as its just put there in front...and I think its too high up in the pic...it should probably be a bit bigger due to perspective...
Ill fix it today!
Feeb, I just checked your plantsucking lady, ...'sensate' was the word, and I really like it...great to get the attention of someone whos that great as an artist. But for this piece...too red? too pink perhaps...that red hair is almost exactly the color as mine...suppose that will be fixed too...as it is now i didnt bother to use layers when I did it, told you I just messed with it a bit...
and Basement bound...well...thanks! ever since I read your first post I wanted to see your balls...but I expected a bit more hair... heh...*humming AC/DCs Big Balls* mine are more reddish purple tho...maybe your basement is a bit cold... |

To tell you the truth, the hand in the new postion is a improvement on the compostion. However, I think is has lost some of the original feeling that I got from the first one. The red one has so much depth due to the bluring of the facial features. I would do that again but, yet to a lesser degree to create the effect without loosing the expressions on the face.
JA
They are blue for two reasons;
*I sit in my pj's in the basement for hours at a time trying to catch up on this darn forum.
*And it's been a while, SO SUE ME! |

It was a joke, you know... haha? Anyways, yea I tried copying/pasting the URL and it wasn't a 404 error so I guessed it was just something with your provider. Anyways, I like it.. but the arm needs more detail and have more contrast in comparison with the face in my opinion, especially in the first drawing |
