at least i "dare" to post something here, i kept reading the forums for some months, but now i have something to post
its nothing special just a flyer for an internet project im starting the next days.
www.aconclave.org is going to be a small and friendly platform for austrian/german speaking artists [grafics, animation, video/film, visuals, magic, clasic art]...
the pic was made in ilustrator and photoshop and its my first try making a picture using digital tools. yeah, i know the subject is rather disturbing and very dark, but after some tweaking i really liked it and so i want to finish it.
the original verion is 3500x2483
there are serious problems concearnig perspective, and some other fundamentals, perhaps some of you could point me in the right direction how to fix it...
things im going to change:
-really strange, impulsive sky in the background
-finish the explosion on the roof of the "main tower"
-detail in the city, water and on the bugs back/legs/
-reflexion in the water
-i dont like the chain, how could i improve it?
hope you can give me some feedback...
thnx

I've not got much to add on the technical side.. but felt compelled to mention your style.. it's quite.. well.. odd
That's not an insult btw, more the opposite. It's interesting. You've managed to make a peice that seems to be both traditional and digital.. it's got a lovely 'print'ish quality.. almost feels like a photocopy.. and I love photocopies. It's pleasing, somehow.
Are the flyers going to remain digital, or are they to be printed on paper and distributed?
If you're aiming for publicity, it may need a lil more impact.. but short of using colour and more powerful lines/less shading, I'm unable to help.
I like it.. |
