Got this one in the mail today...
Forgotten Facts
Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black named
Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was a fellow Panther suspected of
disloyalty.
Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized his
'friends' tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring boiling
water on him.
When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member
Warren Kimbo took Mr. Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head.
Rackley's body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of
New Haven,Conn.
Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what Happened to these
BlackPanthers. In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of the
killers was still in jail. The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a
scholarship to Harvard. He later became an assistant dean at Eastern
Connecticut State College. Isn't that something? As a '60s radical you can
pump a bullet into someone's head, and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an assistant college dean! Only in America! Erica
Huggins was the lady who served the Panthers by boiling the water for Mr.
Rackley's torture.
Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a California School Board.
Howin the world do you think these killers got off so easy? Maybe it was
in some part due to the efforts of two people who came to the defense of
the Panthers. These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale University=
with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black = Panthers during
their trial. One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee. Mr.
Lee,or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a College dean. He isn't a
member of a California School Board. He = Is now head of the U.S. Justice
Department's Civil Rights Division. O.K., so who was the other Panther
defender?
Is this other notable Panther defender now a school board member? Is this
other Panther apologist now an assistant college dean? No, Neither! The
other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law student at Yale
University at the time. She is now known as the "smartest woman in the
world." She is none other than the unofficial Democratic candidate for the
U.S. Senate from the State of New York----our lovely First Lady, the
incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Now that's what i call messed up. Though it's a nice example of how things can go in america when the right people pull the right strings.

That's just amazing.

Kind of scary, yes... No proof given, though..-
And on the other hand, it's a good wake-up call. This shit happens all the time, all around the world, but we tend to push it all away. |

I just want to know how you know this is true? Cuz you know that if it were, the press would be all over thier asses. (Point A- Bill and his umm... oral mishap) Someone probably made that shit up and started forwarding it around.
Another thing... the Black Panthers looked out for thier own. They were even the ones who started the breakfast program (in Chicago I think). They weren't all terrible people, they faught for thier rights for equallity. Even though (from what I hear) they didn't like the 'white devils', they still faught for a good cause.
I just wanted to bring that point up, not to try to discredit the story, but to inform some of those who don't know about our American history... which is a pretty dirty book. Plus, you can't believe everything that you read.

Jess... ofcourse there is no "proof" for this story. One could look up old newspapers and see if anything is said about this story though...
Personally, i dont see why it shouldn't be true. Extremist organisations are allways harsh towards "fallen" insiders - it's to ensure the loyalty of the other members. "Betray us and you'll die a terrible death." You'll find it in the IRA, the KKK, the UCK...what they fight for is besides the point, because people willing to fight the enemy for a cause, are just as willing to fight those that fought with them yesterday.
I dont know about this not getting in the open meaning it's not true... how many things _never_ got out in the open? we dont know... Like affected's sig says: freedom is only where opression is less apparent.
Let's just assume it's true and do some OOh's and AAAh's and Eeep's and carry on with life
