does anyone get this..?

let's see, for example, let's take a little walk from my place to the downtown to buy cigarettes.

first thing i notice in the elevator is the wood texture. it looks too bland, basic, saturated, although it has nice 3d-ish effect to it. same with the sand on the road outside, succesfull bump mapping with not too much shine at all. cool.

then i start looking around. i see advertisement posters, magazine ads, and so forth. instead of reading the ads, i start analyzing how the picture was put together and created, what techniques, what software, and on top of that, i start finding flaws and mispoints in it.

same goes for everywhere.. for <eh> 's sake, i look at a person and think "whoa, now that's a rather good skin.. 32 bit too, sweet!"

anyone got a simple and easy and effortless way to get rid of this utter geekdom? it's getting on my nerves hardcore, and i just can't seem to find a way to avoid the anaylizing/evualuating/studying habit.. :|

Im one step further. I want to scan every friggin texture i see to extract the scratches and spots from it. I also have the tendency to look for the CTRL-Z on my remote control and try make screendumps of my window.

there's no ctrl-plus and ctrl-minus on my sketch pad.

and where's the brush size palette?

whattap with world's engine anyway, all the lights are waaaaaay overcontrasted.

me and my friend had serious trouble operating a coffee can at a cafe. why? it had a analog mechanism in it- push the button and coffee comes. too simple for us geeks. we had to ask a certain woman for help on how to operate the coffee can.

my cigarettes' smoke looks like it's made with a shitty particle engine. seriously.

Yea...hehe sometimes on the remote when i like change the channel by accident i'm like "CRAP! UNDO! UNDO!!"
hehehehehe

but when i look at a picture, i got two modes in my mind, Overall View and Detailed View... when i'm in overall i kinda zoom out (ith my eyes, not like z00m in adobe or something) and when i go in Detailed View i kinda come closer and expect all the detail and how it was made... but the best way to live life is to just enjoy all the details the way they are and not wonder how they got there
