well, following the trend of starting a topic on new movies being released, I will make my own! ha-HA! just got back from seeing it, It certainly diddn't suck...But I really can't explain too much of it without giving a lot away...the costumes and scenery are pretty good (thanks to burton)...
Allthough there is this great scene dealing with a chimpanzee, and a pod-spaceship thing...
*chuckle* |

yes, it was really hilarious, being a tim burton movie and all.
The apes were so jumpy and super-human strength-ish compared to the humans who have nearly the same anatomy (you'd think?!).
The galloping all-four monkey charge was hilarious as well. (oops)

Actually, in real life, chimps can literally lift a Harley Davidson over their head. They're much stronger than humans, even for being so small. It mostly comes from tree swinging, I guess.
Just thought I'd follow true to my form and let you know useless technical information. |

Oh the movie was great but yeah it did have some "funny" moments.
Apes and chimps are way stronger than humans, a silver back could tear a human to pieces within seconds.
The Asian guy was the same guy whom played Shang Tsung in the first Mortal Kombat movie. |

Heck yeah, it kicked ass.
Final Fantasy was also very cool. Though the people didn't always blink unless it was a close up. (Yes, picky picky I know.)
As far as PotA goes, I kept lookin for Michael Dorn in the credits as that former General. DAMN he sounded like Lieutenant Worf! Seemed to have similar ethics as well. |

I haven't seen it yet.
I can't but believe it will be great, though... even though I don't like the original planet of the apes idea...
Thing is... I adore Tim Burton. He is probably one of my favourite people in the world =) Well, him and Danny Elfman. |

I thought the ending was odd, but it just set it up for more to follow and I guess it went with the book.
Anyone noticed that the female Chimps had eyebrows - was to make them look more attractive to humans. |

Ian, most american movies come out later in other countries.
Particuarly if it's subtitled or dubbed into another language...
There is a HUGE petition for Star Wars: Episode II to be released on the same date all over the world, signed by fans from across the globe. Many Americans would rather wait another couple of months and know that EVERYWHERE people are seeing the new movie for the first time. The movement is called "One World, One Release" |

Ignore this is you do not like rants:
The movie had a number of holes in it, and the relationship between the main character and the cute jungle girl was very strange. I'm not going to go into it, and I don't wan't ruin it for anyone else who wants to see it.
In my opinion Tim Burton was capable of doing something much better. |
