You know what elitist forums provide? Dry, technical, sterile critque. My most rewarding feedback has come from people who know nothing about radiosity, color theory, or composition. It comes from people who tell me that a landscape reminds them of their childhood home, or who build houses for a living and spot a problem in my architecture.

As for [dfjkdsfsf], I have nothing to hide. I don't mind if she posted our discussion to the entire planet. The fact that the whole member registration deal hadn't been figured out (and still lies in somewhat murky waters), that is what had come out of it at the time.

Being hurt, she extrapolated her own meanings or excuses out of the things I wrote to her, most likely for wanting to find the reason behind her refusal, but also to build up enough anger to convince people like you to flame me in return.

Snake Grunger and Frost have opened this forum as a home for artists of the digital medium. We hope this will become the home of not only a gathering of digital artists on the Internet, but a large group of friends. This is not the Sijun.com forums, nor is it meant to be. This forum was built for the serious and professional artists who are conscientious about their work and are willing to share and learn digital art with other members. However, if the number of excessively ignorant members increases beyond tolerable levels, action will be taken by the moderators. As previously seen on nearly all other web forums (sijun not excluded), the uncontrolled arrival of newbies has a great negative impact on the value and functionality of a focused forum. Such newbies not only tend to occupy 80% of a forum user�s database, but they also constantly support themselves, by false encouragement and appraisals, turning lies into truths, undoubtedly leading a forum to its own self-destruction... which we do not intend to let happen here.

Here are a few simple rules members need to abide to in order to keep this forum alive and productive, and to prevent the previous from happening:�

- "Digital Art" as meant in the forum's main theme, applies to drawings, paintings and 3d models that are created by hand. This excludes the following: fractals, particles, manipulated photos with filters, anything relating to photoshop filters, Bryce art, Poser art, music, programming, etc. Please do not post anything that is not a drawing, painting or model of your own doing.

- Every post must contain a link, content, or image of worth to the forum and its members. Posts containing only constructive criticism and/or repaints are also more than welcome.

- Do not post spam or polls (ie. "what is better: a or b?") threads. This is not tolerated.

- Images are only to be inserted into the body of the post if it is relevant to the current discussion and is necessary to illustrate a point. 'Off topic' imagery should be linked as a URL or thumbnailed. Images should be kept small, concise and to the point whenever possible. No images will be tolerated in signatures.

- No software or hardware specific questions. Please refer to the user�s manual that come with the software, or you may go to www.tomshardware.com, www.hardocp.com, etc, in order to find out what good hardware is out there.

TAKE NOTE THAT, however, at this moment, your application must be APPROVED by the
administrators before you are granted the ability to post. This said, when you apply you must try and provide a URL with your work so that we can judge rather or not to let you post. You will receive an automatic email if your application is approved. I know this may sound very strict, but it is mandatory. However, even though some members do not have authority to post

At least I haven�t deceived myself in balistic. He seems to be like I imagined(at least I hope ).

I can understand the idea behind lumental, but by judging from what I�ve read there and somewhere else it reminds me of ideals and methods used by Adolf Hitler, as I�ve said to faustgfx on icq and I�m not affraid of saying that I was the one who made this comparison.
I won�t say that I hate all the guys that are members of lumental. I also think that Frost has his good sides and that maybe a noble idea stood in the beginning in lumental, but the way it was handled and turned out was nothing but abhorrent.
I think it could have turned out in a good way, if people there didn�t fall for the dark side of the force.
I mean look at rinaldo�s post in there where he complains about how the rules are written. You don�t have to read too carefully to feel the "fear" thats inside that thread. It reminds me how people in WW2 feared that someone comes and shoots them in the head, if they say something wrong.
And the fact that it�s not about life makes the situation MUCH worse.

I think Frost was just not able to handle the situation right. Also I remember a post here on Sijun where Frost is whining about what a crap artist he is. It�s things like that, that make me think about how frost really is. I don�t know Frost in person, but after all the things I�ve read and can think of I�m not sure if I would like to be his friend. Some time ago I would have been really honored if he would have talked to me, but now not longer. But he surely doesn�t care about how much ideal he was for me some time ago and that that has changed now. He probably won�t read this here.

I�m really sad about how people can be. The worst thing is that regardless how elite people are they won�t be man enough to admit their mistakes.

I�m also sad that some of the "elite" artists I admired like gods now shit on their former ideals.

I don�t know if anything of what I wrote is clearly understandable and gets the point across I wanted to, but my feelings are FAR to messed up to think clear.

Before I press Add Reply I want to make another example of why all I think of when I read Lumental is Adolf Hitler.
Just look at some of the "lower elitist" artists. How they follow the "F�hrer"-elitists, because they were accepted and they are part of the elite now.
Thats exactly the methology Hitler used, he made his dumb followers believe that they were better than others and gave them medals and stuff to make them feel special and they WERE dumb enough and did EVERYTHING for him because they were soo special and no longer dumb idiots but now they had their medals and now they were better and everyone who had his doubt - *PENG*
