here ya' go...
Hey. I just finished this. The picture was taken at a local pond. I took it tonight at a party, took the picture home, and threw the layout together in about 2 hours. Or something.
It's only viewable in IE, sorry.
I just want critique on the design, unless you wanna comment on my photography.
Thanks.
(edit) I put netscape, instead of IE. ut oh.

I tried going there with both netscape and IE, and I got the same error message about "sorry, this page is unviewable by netscape".
What crazy wacky HTML are you doing, anyway, that you won't let us netscape users view the page? |

Nice pictures, thats some camera , I put your picture of the eight ball as my background in windows, if thats okay.
But I dont see why its an IE only page, the only thing I see that you couldnt do in NS is the fixed-background. Though Im not one to talk .. for the momment my site is IE only too
( Hey my second name is Fitzgerald too ) |

It's fairly nice, still a little bit simple.
Netscape has no support for the Inline Frame (page in a box within a page) I know that, but do you really need it?, there would be other Netscape friendly ways to emulate the effect by using conventional frames. Potentially a larger audience if you think about it. |

Well definately points for originality as I haven't seem something like this in quite sometime. I think however there are a couple of little things that you could tweak to really improve the site. The font used on the "photography" and "Sean FitzGerald" is a little too small and I'm not sold on the colour. While it doesn't stand out to be too obtrusive on the background image, the background image isn't going to loss anything by having a larger size text.
Also part of the colour scheme seems a little difficult to read. I appreciate that you have a style thing going with it but the combination of black on purple is a little off putting. Maybe trying for a lighter purple (without going towards a pink) or something similar would really help.
The site is obviously for photography but you haven't capitalised upon this as well as what you could have. I think if you have a couple of thumbnails in the section that could add greatly as it takes quite a number of clicks backwards and forwards to get a real feel for your work. |
