these are very good, however the top picture is a very interesting one, if the entire cylinder is glowing I would guess that there would be a softer shadow behind the cube, because the light source is big (IE: not a point light) then you need to create a much softer shadow to show that it's being cast from a larger source
here, heh it's not much, but I'm not too good with the wacom yet... heh I could paint you one though
so, here
oh yah and the second one is well done heh as far as I can comment  |

np, heh with a big lightsource you basically get "radiosity" heh it's sharp if the shadow source is close to the shadow, but the farther it is the softer the shadow becomes |
