Why do people get totally pissed of when you crit their work, especially since they posted it to be criticized? Now I'm not just talking about people on this forum... I have been frequenting another forum and when people ask to have their sites checked, and they get torn up by me (because damnit, everyone should know that a million pop-ups is just annoying and so are a million frames). I was giving my honest-to-God advice and opinions and they get all defensive and annoying... WTF???

I think maybe you might be getting the abbreviation crit's confused for critisized when they actually want a critique. Big Difference
but you probably didn't do anything wrong. Some people just don't like others opinions and that is just fine. Don't take it personally.

Oops... no I don't mean criticized... I mean constructive criticism of course...
I'm just totally peeved right now. I am trying to help people develop some sense of usability and layout and they totally get pissed off. I'm not intentionally ripping the person... just trying to point them in the right direction. |
