Your line are and imagination is good...but you need to work on your lighting in the pics. The rendering of the characters look a bit flat.
In the first drawing fro an example...look at the shadow falling on his right shoulder from the head. The shadow on the raigh arm should be just as dark....but you dont even have a shadow on the right arm
The second drawing for an example...the light is comming from behind the character going into the dark hole, so why is the character so lit in the front? You should have the characters front a lot darker and have a rim of light on the back of the character. You know what I mean?
Godd work though...just work on your lighting a bit and they will turn out wonderful! |

yes, i get what you mean. i definitely have to work on this. well like i said, it is my second pic..
i know you guys here @ sijun put much weight on shading and lighting. i just recently discovered the importance of the correct use of it. it will turn out better, when i get the shades and lights right.
thx for your reply |

nah, used to be you'd get 0 replies and all the new threads would push you to the second thread by the first day,
btw I really like the lighting on the hadn, but, you might want to add another softer light source from below or sort of below so it's not so black, maybe some blue sparking wires are lighting the rest of his body, I know it's harder (MUCH harder) but leaving his body black below is kind of weird and confusing in viewer space |
