you obviously have skill, but I think it's kinda tastless to post that image again when you've seen the way certain people feel about it. |

Nice death dealer. I remember the dragon one from before. In my opinion, they're both great (the dragon one isnt really better than the beast one imo). While both creatures are a little flat, I suppose its part of the style. Thumbs up .
Vesuvius: Are you talking about when the castle on the dragon ad looked similar to the castle in one of Craig's paintings? Death dealer changed it since then, and it was my understanding that Mr. Mullins was okay with it. Or has there been something since that is yet unresolved?

Vesuvius I think you are tastless for putting that retarded reply. What the heck do you mean by how people feel about it???
Death is asking about the ad. He is wondering why it doesnt work as well as the dragon. He was not asking about his illustration.
I cant believe some of the comment that are so useless that are posted on this board sometimes.
Anyway death....I think it doesnt work as well because the dragon's color scheme is matching in with the rest of the ad...it blends in so that the text is more readable. It looks like an ad.
The demon on the other hand sticks out like a sore thumb. Its bright and colorless. bring it in photoshop and mess with the color variation on it a bit (although, dont touch the color of the background). Dont know if it will make it "work" better...but its an easy hack and I think it will blend better. |

Ahh thanks guys now its all clear to me, the beast has the start of some ok contrast going on around the head area but from the sholders to the tip of his tail he hardly has any "im missing the darktone, midtone and highlights"
Also i shrink the creature might work better a little smaller.
Thanks, I needed some fresh eyes |

robert - you obviously don't remember, but there was some people here saying that the top image was partially taken from one of Craigh Mullins paintings... I don't want to start a debate over this, but Vesuvius' remark was legit!

What a bunch of jackoffs in this forum jesus drop it . The paintings look great !!! Hey DD even if you stuff did look like Craigs go with it bro he lives in a beach house in hawaii and makes phat ass cash so if someone told me I painted like Mullins I'd be like hell ya man...look at how many people emulate frazetta . My personal feeling is that you paint as good or better then him especially in characters. Anyways don't listen to these guys here people at this forum try to pick fights with everyone. |

Um, quasar, the Craig mullins thing was that he supposedly directly stole elements of a painting craig had done, not that he painted as well as craig.
on to the paintings, the adds look really nice. One a question of color sceme, the dogish monster thing would look better if there was winter color scheme applied to the add, like if the back ground was white and the celtic lace a winterish blue. The text could be like brown or somehting.

As MoleculeMan said!!
And, would it be jeopardizing to even change the colour of the logotype to a more bluish tint??? The first one is bound together by colour, the second one isn't really......
The dogbeast is very very nice, I just don't quite get its' face though....;\
Also....As you said yourself, the size of the beast. It struggles with the text, and perhaps unfortunatly it's winning. The text gets pushed and squeezed, I think.
As you propably know, the overall quality of the artwork, dictates the harshness of the critique . Good job!
