Hey guys!
Arrived here in beautiful Wellington two days ago! It's awesome - fresh air, laughable traffic, beautiful landscape and friendly friendly people!
This afternoon I'll learn how tio drive on the left side - I'm scared already.
Everyone here at Weta is really nice and I already met some old friends of mine who are also working down here.
Can't tell you anything about the production of course - but it'll be a fantastic mvie as far as I can tell.
Allrighty - just wanted to say hello and return to the forum.
Cheers,
Loki |

Good to hear from you, don't kill yourself in the traffic hehe!
I'm still stuck in this cold northern country, it even snowed yesterday.. and you wouldn't believe how hard it's to get a portfolio printed down here, almost two months now and nothing.. last week they broke their printer, I'm gonna burn that printshop if they can't get the prints ready next week.. :/
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm happy for you, enjoy your stay and send us some pics of TTT j/k! |

Basement: Hey - muchos gracias! I'll try to make the most of it!
Hey Looner!
Well - I'm happy that I'm down here and I hope that I kick ass here so I don't have you guys laugh at me!
The work enviroment, inside, is like any other vfx studio in full production (meaning full house!) - the work enviroment outside is breathtaking! The CLOUDS, guys, the CLOUDS!!!!! I can't take my eyes of the skies here - I dare to say they're even more spectacular than Hawaii! In all shapes and colors, multilayered, washed over by golden sunlight and always on the move. The blue sky itself is quite a contrast to LA - it's hues are so much stronger than there, because the air is so clean.
Wellington itself is all spread out over hills and consists of a lot of beautiful bays.
I'll definetely try to take lotsa photographs so you guys can see why I'm so enthusiastic!

Haha welcome to NZ Loki
I was recently in Wellington. A road tripped with my gf from Auckland to Dunedin(I from Auckland). Holy cow I never new how beautiful it was going to be...and I've lived in NZ my whole life. I recommend travelling the west coast of the Sth Island if you ever get the oportunity.
WETA you say.... Lucky bastard.
How long you here for?
I fantasise about drawing monsters for WETA. |

Hey dude!
It's really beautiful here - especially coming from the wastelands of LA.
I'll be here for 2 months - and time's running! Let me know if you happen to be in Wellington while I'm down here - maybe we can catch a drink or something.
Too bad I can't talk about what's going on in production, but guys, the stuff looks phantastic ... my jaw dropped several times during the last few days.
Cheers,
Loki |

Kiora Loki
Would love to join you for a beer man but the closest I'll get is flying over you in a few weeks.
Dude get the ferry over and check out the Malborough Sounds. wow. Atleast get those at Weta to point out the awesome sites.
Yeah watch the dodgy drivers, indicators seem to be going out of fasion.
Good luck with your stay
Keep us posted. |
