I was surfing for some Icewind Dale 2 artwork when I came upon this site.
Not only do they take artwork they don't have permission to use, they also alter them.
http://chosenofmystra.db-forge.com/the_frozen_north/humanfemale.html
Check to see if any of yours are there.
It's not really that big of a deal, since it's not like they are using them as portfolio pieces, or something bad, but different artists have different levels of tolerance for this kind of stuff. Your guys decide if it bugs you enough. |

Sounds like a good opportunity to get a link to your site. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

I was starting to link all the images I knew were from sijuners as well as external artists like Brom and such but there IS WAY TOO MUCH of them. Actually that could nicely kill their bandwith ? Anyways.. it's nice to be appreciated ?..

Hmm. They used one of my pieces twice. That's pretty cheap. With so much stuff on the internet to ripoff, why use the same piece twice? Too lazy?
Wow, another one of mine. Should I be flattered or annoyed? I guess if they didn't alter my artwork, I'd be slightly less annoyed. I like how they managed to take a completely non-fantasy painting of mine and pull her ear out a bit and pass it off as a fantasy portrait for fantasy games. Man, they could've at least butchered it more to make it look more fantsy. |

AndyT - I think that's Malachi Maloney's piece. _________________ - Tom Carter

I would think that if you have a "no reproduction or re-use" warning on the site where you posted your work, you could certainly send them a "cease and desist" warning. I would certainly be pissed if they altered my artwork. How are you supposed to ask for a credit and a link if they f**ked up your artwork? _________________ Smokey, this is not 'Nam this is bowling. you can rightfully tell them to take it down also...or notify their ISP about their unrightful art usage and have it taken down for them if they don't cooperate. _________________ It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice - Scooter |

Hehe! I went through Malachi Maloney's recent and not so recent posts and I found a thread started by m i n d s i p h o n. That's coincidence but i think it's kinda funny.
oDD: The image isn't on www.mindsiphon.com ... how did you find out that it's his? Or did you remember? _________________ http://www.conceptworld.org |

AndyT: i remebered it from digitalart, it's funny because i rarely go to places like that, i remebered it probably beacause its a trace of aria. So i went to digitalart and i found the adress of the artist. I remebered that someone here got the same nick name as the domain, so i cheked it and it was the same person plus i found that pic on his site. Plus i'm not a fan of MM but i'm pathetic enough to know all his works so i knew it wasn't his. All of this happend while i was at work so i had time to do this :/ _________________ portfolio | art blog |
