Hi everyone!
I enjoyed Novacaptain's great "documentary" from his camping, so I thought I'd keep the ball rolling! Nothing so exciting as a trip to the woods, but I ventured out in the town this morning and shot some everyday life.
And it's a spectacular weather today! We had snow just a couple of weeks ago (and from what I hear on the news there'll be more this weekend)
Carolus Rex, the old battlements of the city. This part is just 100m from where I live. They actually kept russian POW's in there during the 1700th century. The tunnels stretch out deep under the city.
Looking out from Carolus Rex:
...and as seen from below:
This is where they sell alcohol (government monopoly):
Another government building. The sign would have you believe it's a telephone company, but I'm pretty sure it's the security police
Public transportation:
'Kungsportsavenyn' - the main street:
There is a lot of water in this town, canals and bridges everywhere:
A great club. I went there last week to see Fireside perform, and it was GREAT.
This is just 5 minutes from my home, and it's one of the (few?) places where you still might see open prostitution. They made it illegal, but nothing really changed.
The supermarket where I shop. You can also see it on the picture above:
Some more water...
A creepy church. I positive it's not God they're worshiping in there...
Cheers!

Hey Mon I recognize some places there, Cool.
The weather is awesome in my town too today and I have ordered a digital camera earlier and it seems like I will have that one today so maybe there will be some pictures from me too. If I can get the camera to work that is....hehe
Fireside rocks, didnt know that they were still playing, didnt they have a lot of side-projects the members in that band?
Ok, what are they worshiping in that church? satanic stuff?
btw, I take it in swedish, jobbar du med spel-grafik och snt? vilka spel- fretag finns i Gteborg?
Nice pictures

Really nice pictures Mon, henrik and matthew,
I don't remember anything of Goteborg from when i went there but it seems that all the cities have pretty similar architecture. Mon...i thought the security police headquarters had a big neon sign saying "SPO" on it. _________________ It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice - Scooter |

looks like san francisco...just no hills..no trash...no hobos...no women...no homosexual rainbow flags up around...no oxygen bar...no tall skyline...no irremovable grime on the streets...and various other things...but it still looks like parts of it. hmmm...or not... |

Matthew - Yeah fireside is going strong! Jesus man, they just released a new album, go get it!! It's almost as good as Elite (!) No I don't work in a big game company or anything, I freelance for most part (though I've done graphics for the super-cool shot-em-up Robobombo by Ninjagames) I'm not very into the whole gamebusiness, but DICE has a huge office here, as well as UDS (though I hear that sadly they're not doing too great at the moment)
henrik - No problem! =)
novacaptain - thanks man! yeah, they've got those signs too =) Seriously though, my firend's girlfriend works in one of those "telia" buildings... And sure enough, it's SPO... She doesn't even tell HIM what she's actually doing in there...
