Hey there, new to the site. I'm trying to get some storyboards going and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to create storyboard frames in Illustrator, PS, or painter 8.
any of these programs ideal for storyboards
Thanks for any thoughts. |

these just to print out?
if your going to just print them out Illustrator is your best bet as its a vector package and the frames will take just 15K or so grab the box tool and draw a box.. duplicate to how ever many frames you want to a page and print |

Storyboards are supposed to be informal so don't worry too much about them being 'official'. The important things to remember are to make them the aspect ratio of the film you plan to work in (usually 4:3; 16:9 for widescreen) and to cut them out into individual boards so you can pin them up and then rearrange them; like editing, only before you film. Very handy, since it is always wise to shoot for the edit. _________________ - Rockstar Ninja Artist Extraordinaire |
