[The Insane Lemur]

i saw a john harris painting on the cover of "speaker for the dead" and knew i had to try. this painting i think has taught me a new style, really fun one this was to paint, although i was unhappy with the sky at first with its simplicity i believe it draws attention to the center structure so now im happy with it, feel free to comment or overpaint

dang, this board has a terrible view/reply ratio, im sure thats been said many times, come on, at least tell me how terribly mediocre it is

I like everything above the yellow space ship.

I was bored and did a paint over, far too hastily. didn't know what the ground plane was. I made it sea. As you can see, mine's no less mediocre. I was playing with weaknesses I thought i saw, in perspective and colour and stuff. Though I just ended up making it different as opposed to improved.

I just realised this is the first time I've painted water! I don't understand it well enough to pull it off.

thankyou, i like your paint overs, espescially the second one, like the perspective at the top. Yeah, i agree, the ground plane is weird and i didnt really like it because there were no other buildings, i guess thats another reason i like your second one so much,
