Hamster Alliance - NeuroTransmitter
file size - 5mb
duration - 3:54
Somewhere between Breaks and Drum'n'Bass.
Loud. Filtering Synths. DnB Bass. 303 Abuse (see if you can point out the 303. :P). Has a switchup towards the end. Borrowed a Decepticon sample from the "Transformers" cartoon.
This track has a horrible ending, I know it. I'll fix it when I turn 47. honest.
Oh and I apologize, I amen'd all over the floor. |

That is fucking awesome. This track leans closer to the kind of electronic stuff I dig (compared to the past stuff). Love the grittiness. The production quality of your shit just keeps getting better. |

Production-wise, it sounds very pro. I found myself waiting for something that was gonna make it "yours" though . . . like, it might be a little too textbook. Pages 245-250 "aggressive breaks" in the big electronic music manual. I definitely like the end section the most, when it mostly turns into jungle, though I think you could maybe push the resonance on the lead bit even more. That shit should hurt.
I could be totally off-base though. What makes a track distinct to me are the parts where the producer does something unexpected . . . this is really competent and a faultless production (better than I usually manage), but it didn't surprise me musically.
I hope that's in some way useful to you, or at least doesn't make you hate my guts.
And if I had to pick the 313, I'd say it's those plucky bits . . . the ones at 2:09-ish especially could be an un-modded teebee. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |
