That could very well be a joke, but damn it if I don't agree. We (as adults) all love HL2 and Medal of Honor, but GTA and the many clones out there SUCK. I can't believe it when I see parants buy that shit for their kids. Completely irresponsible of publishers to produce crap like that. It's definitely meant for adults, but if you don't think the advertisments targets kids, you're nuts. I saw a commercial for San Andreas during Kids' WB just a couple weeks ago.

Honestly, this first-person/GTA stuff is getting as bad as the fighting game craze of the mid-90s. Let's see some different ideas!

Of course the GTA games are not meant for kids, but they're in no way bad games either, I'd say they're more innovative in terms of gameplay than the constant wave of other game clones we keep seeing. And when was the last time there was seriously anything new in the RPG genre? I'm sick of seeing the same old red-life-bar blue-mana-bar Diablo-style hack-and-slash screenshots for so many years now.

All I can say is "plinky plink," or possibly, "doopy do!"

A great sentiment.

Smile
