Is there a way to use the windows tools/synchronize option to copy just changed files from a master directory on a main hard drive to it's backup directory on a backup hard drive? If so, I can't see how to do it.
It seems as if the synchronize tool is meant to be used for updating websites... so the process should work just about the same for updating or mirroring directories by just copying changed files. _________________ HonePie.com

I have no idea how windows sync works.
But I have used this and it works great, $30.
SmartBackup

It looks more complicated than it really is. |

Thanks Tzan... I took a look at it and it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for. It looks great for recovering files from damaged disks, etc... but I simply want to drag and drop an entire directory from one hard drive to another where the directory already exists and have the program just update the files that have changed or copy new files.
Seems to me Windows should have some ability to do that... ??? I use to be able to do it back in the old DOS days with a batch file, but that was long ago and I don't remember the switches to use. _________________ HonePie.com
