Im looking for open source stuff ... totally free , not those on trial ...
my needs at the moment are really simple, just to rotate, change brightness contrast, cut and paste , that sort of stuff...
anyone know of a reliable, easy to use video editor ? |

Windows movie maker is totally ok for easy stuff like that. What it lacks is having multiple tracks/making you own effect and more "exakt" and flexible tools...but it has all the basics and hundreds of transitions/effects.
We made short movies in school with it this past week, worked fine looked good. |

Mac or Windows?
If Mac is your thing, I've heard that iMovie works exceptionally well.
On PC, Movie Maker works just fine for basic stuff.
Both come installed, and contrary to what Apple would have you believe, using a Windows App doesn't make you a nerd. |

Yep, Jimmy echos my recommendation. Both iMovie and Movie Maker are good for basic editing and exporting to disc, file formats, etc. _________________ - Tom Carter
