Very nice. Love the eyes. Guess that eye practicing payed off. I only have one problem with it... this damned AOL browser! It does something to all the images I look at and causes major loss of image quality!! Oh wait I guess thats my problem not yours. Man I'm proving how much of an idiot I am left and right today. Sorry. Great eyes though. |

looks great, love the textures on it, and the eyes are nice i'm a little confused about the top of the face/skin where it borders the almost rock-like scalp, i'm not sure wether its supposed to be on top of it or what, the edges are kind of blurry and the light source isnt consistant, so it gets a little confusing as to what exactly is going on in that part. Think it looks great man, keep it up.

The eye looks a little plastic to me. The way the highlights are in the iris area make the lense look like it's rippled. The lense of the eye is smooth, so the highlight on it is also smooth. The highlight on the actual iris (which is concave) would be rippled like that, as well as the reflected light would cause other parts of the iris to light up in a similar manner.
The highlight on the pupil and the iris also appear to be coming from different directions.
Here's the eye redone somewhat. A little less plastic looking, a little more life like... but still not perfect. Heh.

Yeah, I agree with Cyber here...though I also think a little depth and life could be breathed into the overall shape of the eye lids themselves too.

I agree... The reason I didn't was that minister was focusing on his "eye skills"... most likely refering to just the iris and the whites around it... some bit of the eyelids, but definatly more attention was paid to the iris more than anything else in that area of the drawing.
The entire face could use a lot more detail, and color, to make them more life like. If you look closely at the eye area, it's mostly one big blur with little separation between the whites of the eye and the eyelids. I did a little to seperate them in my updated eye, but not much.

Thank you all for the help! But i have a reason for that eye glare =) originally like I said I was just workin on and eye and decided to add a face. The original eyes ad four light sources.. hence the four glares =)
As I added the face and the light source to it, I forgot to take into account the fact that the eye's original glare didnt match the head =)
Thank you tho!
