Its a game released back in 2006 for the PS2. It won a pile of awards and is highly rated. But I dont own a PS2. Its got the best art you'll see in a computer game. Its 3D with a caligraphy/watercolor style.
Its now coming out for Wii next week on the 15th.

its a long loading flash site.

They say it has a similar play style to Zelda. |

I hoped back then when they had the ps2 version out that it would be getting a decent Wii port. Heard a few conflicting opinions on it's controls, but I'm more than tempted to simply buy it to support the guys. Clover is no more, but maybe good sales on the Wii version will help to get more games like this out of capcom.
Still have to buy Zack and Wiki. I just wish they wouldn't rape us Euros on prices so hard. Pondering to just get freeloader and import every damn game from the US(cheaper too with the high euro) or play-asia in the future. Damn I could be brawlin' already if I did. |

Here is a review of the Wii version.
http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3167381&p=44&sec=REVIEWS
I got it last week and I've played about 5 hours so far.
Its a total hassle to draw the horizontal straight line. It just doesnt recognize it very well. If you can, make a shorter line, less chance of wiggles. You do get better as you learn to be steadier with it.
I dont mind text in games, but there may be too much here.
What an odd problem to have.
Even though the reviewer has some negative comments he still rates it "A".
Totally worth getting. |

Thanks for the link and your opinion on it. I just found out it's released on 30th of june around here, so I guess for now I'll get Zack and Wiki as soon as I can get myself to spend the cash. I was surprised to see that Okami seems to cost 34 Euro on our Amazon as preorder right now. Compared to how they usually convert the prices to Euros, it's rather pleasant.
On another note, anyone here knows how I can get my hands on Pikmin 2 without paying full price or more on ebay for a used version? It seems it has become rather hard to get around here and I just finished the first one 2 times a bit ago and would really like to get the sequel since it's said to address nearly all quirks of it's predecessor. |

I paid $39.99.
IGN logo : I've got that on my box
There is a "sticker" printed on the box art
"9.5 out of 10 - Play"
But on the shrink wrap they put a real sticker right over Play rating.
"Grade "A" -1UP/EGM"
Weird |

Ah nevermind what I said about Europe not getting raped over a game's price again. The game is now 45 Euros, since they probably realized how 34 would be cheap enough to have people actually buy the game without thinking twice. |

Tzan If you didn't hear the Team from Okami was really embarassed, there's an article about it on 1up.com, If you want you can mail a note or maybe email something to Capcom, they'll mail you high-quality replacement artwork (shipping and handling on their dime as well) as compensation for the blunder. |

Thanks for the heads up, I didnt know.
I've read the relavent articles now:
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3167558
I never even noticed the logo until Jimmy mentioned it. Even then it took me some time to find it. I dont really see what all the fuss is about.
The new art is nice, but I have no intention of punishing Capcom by making them spend part of their profits printing and mailing some art. |

I applaud that. It doesn't make me think any less of Capcom or the okami team. In actuality, I just think it's funny.
Glad I didn't make that fuck-up, though. |
