Some (semi) Diable II fanart.

An earlier version is in the SP thread. Basically, I like where it is going or where it could go, but I'm not really sure what to do with it. Refining is such a bitch since my canvas is a mess. Any thoughts?

My thoughts: I think I'd change the passage (between chambers) into an arched doorway (the arch is there already). That would throw more light onto the upper right surface (I think there'd be more there anyhow, as is). With a doorway (its straighter lines contrasting the others), the upper right could look like a creeping goo, sliding down to block the way...

My thoughts. Smile

Edit: I don't know Diablo II so maybe I'm missing some glaringly obvious game reference...

me thinks........ you could use some kind of foreground prop in here. in terms of colour and value you have distance, but in terms of drawing, everything seems to be at the same level. i think adding stuff that'd create a sense of layers (like fore, mid, back) would really make it more dynamic. right now all the main forms seem to be at basically the same distance.

Looks good man. I can't tell what's happening in the white part in the back, if it's a waterfall or another room or just going up and not back? Most of your textures are flat laid over the surfaces, which flattens the pic as well. Something in the forground would help too as the others said. Smile You have good color variation, although it seems a little random. Your focal point is split between the hanging figures and the standing figure, and they're both dark in front of white, so it's kind of pulling you both ways. Great start though, ya done good so far ^_^
