A painting I did for the bathroom wall. Still might do some work on the trees, as they are less detailed than the stool...

So bears really do shit in the woods!

If you're interested in feedback, I'd say that the toilet, because of the way it is shaded, doesn't look like part of its surroundings -- it looks pasted in. If the toilet's lighting, shading, and reflections better matched its environment I think it would be a stronger piece.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.
You're right. It looks pasted in, and that's what bothers me.

What seems a bit off for me is the flatness of the backdrop - the trees seem to form a solid wall rather than appear to fade back into the distance. The values are a bit muddled where you could broaden your palette a bit back there to push the depth, make it feel like there's endless forest beyond this row of trees. That extra dimension would really give this piece some room to breathe. I came up with this painting by Edward Mitchell Bannister that illustrates what I mean:

A different vibe than you're aiming for I'm sure, but it's an interesting study into how he achieved such a tangible sense of depth and space.

Just my own personal suggestion, you've got a great looking piece in the works here. Just needs a little more depth to make it really pop.
