No problem man, just got curious. Smile

I envision something like this still could work though, Artstation and other artists facebook is just boring imo, such a oneway communication. I guess that's why I joined reddit, reminds me of the good old days with this forum...

There was some sort of problem with the hosting or configurations. Not sure the details but Dhabih sorted it out with the provider.

Do you have an account over at Cgtalk? I found my old login in to cgtalk but I think it was probably my 3rd account i made overthere, called slejf just like my website.

Found an old picture I almost forgot on cgtalk from 2016. Very Happy
2016 was when I started gaming more frequently.

Thank you Dhabih and Sumaleth for making place possible.
By creating that raining sword tutorial + art forum, you actually created something much bigger. You created the birth place of Digital Concept Art, Speed Painting, an art school, hangout place for many aspiring artist of all levels to connect.

I've joined Sijun in 2000.... 20 years ago!!! Time flies... but this forum still have the same layout! It's so charming, it's like time travel now back to the good old days typing in the good old forum style of communication. This forum should be preserved permanently as a part of the internet art archive. It has so much historical value, like a museum.

Dhabih, i am still waiting for more of your photoshop painting tutorialz. Do u use mouse or wacom for your drawing?! what brush do you use!? !? ?! 1

Just finished playing HL: Alyx and realized that Dhabih is still working at Valve when I saw the credits. Weird to see sijun again.

Haha nah man was just kidding. Gotta have some fun every now and then. Very Happy

I miss the 3d thread we had, it was fun for sure.
Btw have you seen the latest Unreal Engine 5 tech demo? They can directly import zbrush objects into the engine without worries with the Nanite technology, its really amazing and mindblowing. Shocked

Panel one:

I tag whom for panel two

Or post your own 'panel one' and he can choose which one to continue from - or tag
someone else...

Panels can be completely unrelated (a la Jean Giraud, methinks) but should converge
(at least briefly) somewhere down the line...

hehe you know it felt quite impossible to follow that one of yours above, its true in so many ways in your panel above.
I think we will see society take a different fork in the road as we go ahead from here imo, future will tell for sure.

It will all be about control. We are already followed by every step that we make digitally... Imagine what a different world in some ways the world is since we first started to post here20 years ago.

It is funny that a place like this is now so rare,

when I started on this forum I was a highschool kid with some free time and an interest in art/games and nowadays I have a pretty long ass IMDB and I'm working directly with the art director's guild on the future of the industry, and still a lot of the best lessons I learned and connections I've made in my career came from here (it's also pretty fun to find people who know this place in real life)

there is a lot of place for these kind of slower deliberate discussion on a specific topic, and I would love to keep participating... (and I'm also surprised this account still works)
