I like it but it almost looks like two different people did the piece. I think this has to do with the very painterly hair (which is my favorite part) and the nice smooth face. Maybe if you use the same brush and technique on the face and background the piece will look better as a whole.
Also some shading on the face and eyes (very subtle) will give it more depth.

Hiya again... Ok I added some shadow under the lip and the top lip.. thansk zap for that.
The lighting effect basically, I wanted to go for a "cute" girl look instead of real-life.. I see enough of real life every day
But I value your feedback.

well. i was suppost to go _away_ for a few months touring.. but that failed bad.. so im stuck here for a whiel longer I guess

AWESOME pic. I love the hair...
My only suggestion would be to make the eyelashes more visible. Thicker and darker. They're hard to see as they are now, and eyeleashes are usually fairly prominent, especially on closeups like this.
Whether you fix the eyelashes or not, it's a really cool pic. |
