I'm new to this forum, it was Danny who introduced me to this.
I've been working on this image on and off, the original is 2365px3200p. Still it isn't finished. I still have to do her teeth properly, and the leafs (which are on the original), bits and bobs.
Hope you like it so far.

Hey Lo!!
Nice to see you've found your way here mate! The picture's looking great! Especially the flower in her hair. How's she doing btw? You two still seeing eachother?
Few small tips of advice would be to break up the cast shadow area on her face like you did on her shoulders and her breasts. Also you might wanna play around a bit with the edge fuzziness/sharpness. Make the shadow edge more fuzzy as the surface turns more perpendicular to the lightsource and as it gets further away.
The other tip would be to make the hair strands a bit thicker. Try doing little 'clumped' of strands rather than have each strand do it's own thing.
It's looking great so far, keep painting!
Danny

Looks good Lowlife!
If I may, I'd like to point a few things out. The cast shadow on her seems to indicate that the light source is coming from her upper right side, but there is no shading on the other side of the form... I assume you added the shadows after to add effect, while the lighting on her was initially more of a head-on light and more diffused. Adding shade to her left side, with self cast shadows (such as the nose, brow, etc, might make it more homogenous. Either that or fixing the shadow so it seems to come more from the front.
The cleavage mark seems too high, in fact, I'm not sure you'd see much of it from this shot. Giving her more neck might also help. The chain around her neck doesn't quite fall right with the weight of the pendant, ... hmm, I might add a bit more image to the bottom of it so the face doesn't seem to perfectly centered, and to give it a bit more body... just my 2 cents really. =)
Anyway, I didn't mean to put the pic down, it's very good so far, and the rose in her hair is awesome. Hope you didn't mind my comments! =))
cheers,
frost. |

All comments are welcome, as long as they're justified You're right about most things, as for the shadow it's just a painted layer now slapped on top of the picture, it needs adjusting. The image is a cropped version, so she does have more body. As the shoulders aren't done yet as they supposed to be, cause her body points towards you. I have to add more volume to her shoulders, that should take away her neck problem as well.

Looks like a good start, but the head looks a little too big for the neck and shoulders. |

That's why it's a preview.
