Anyone interested in doing some level design for a Greek-themed mod? Our current level designers keep running into problems in their personal lives and are having a hard time keeping up with devlopment. We need some help here!

The team is called Artemis Software. We're a pretty laid back bunch and we'd love to recruit some talented new members. We don't need a pro, just someone who wants to join in on a fun project and gain some experience dealing with the gaming industry!

Lemme know who's interested. Thanks

Hey, I'm not sure if I qualify, but if you don't try, nothing happens.
Have a look
I'm not desperate to get into games yet, but if you like it, tell me. If I'm not what your looing for, thats cool. I'm pretty laid back myself.

I love your work Isric! Do you know anything about level design? If not, are you willing to learn?

From the little bit I've done, it's not too hard to pick up on.

Well, what we really need is someone who is able to build the levels. However a good designer is always a bonus as well! Do you think you'd be interested in downloading Radiant and toying around to see if you enjoy it? You might find that you'd be pretty good at it!

Hey jez.. You seem to have caught my interest once again, I used to make quake2 levels and custom textures all the time, I was even a finalist in the s3tc contest a couple years ago, so I have experience working with hi rez textures, and have also toyed with q3radient a bit. However, I'm way too busy with college and a webdesign business at the moment, but, if you're still lookin for someone to make levels in about a month (end of the semester :P) lemme know.

Oh, btw, you might have better luck finding the people you need if you post a message at Rust...

Great Striker! You absolutely kick ass. Most of us ladies (we're all female except one guy so far) are having to deal with school as well, so that's a more than fair request. I'll be sure to pass along your name at the meeting too.

Do you think you could post some of your work by Sunday?

Hi Jezebel, I'm not interested personally since I'm working on a map for Headhunters III atm and also want to do some of my own stuff after that.

However I can recommend you to go to www.qmap.org and post a similar messages in the general thread there. You could also visit the IRC channel #terrafusion on irc.gamesnet.net, both places are visited by many talanted mappers and you should be able to find someone if you can convince them that your mod is worth mapping for.

I haven't done any level design since the days of quake2 and even that was limited. However your 'greek' theme really got me interested. I am an Architectural Studies major and the thought of a Greek environment to frag in sounds realy cool. I don't have much experience with making q3 maps but I am sure its not that hard. I keep getting images of running around the acropolis fragging each other.

Cool Kent! I'm glad the theme intrigues you as much as it does me. I have tinkered around with map editing and I don't think it's very hard to pick up on at all. As long as your dedicated to learning the program I believe it's something anyone can pick up in no time. And since you already have an interest in architecture, you might really enjoy building levels

Yo Starfish!

Any level editing I've done was with Q3Radiant. It's pretty easy to pick up on and there are tons of tutorials on the web.

Check it out and lemme know what you think

No lass, the only level design I've done was back in the day of Duke Nukem 3d. Haha. "make sector. rase sector. repeat."
Thanks for the compliment also. I guess at the moment i don't have the knowledge you're looking for.
I'm more of the design element and not the programming. unless that's what you mean. What would be required? Bulding levels? or Designing them?

Well, for those that are interested here is some artwork relating to the whole Mythica thing. Mythica is the name of the mod if I didn't mention that already.

Of course since we don't have a level designer we don't have any screenshots. But we have quite a bit of concept art, some models with temporary skins, as well as various textures and wall murals.

We actually have some old outdated screenshots on our website, but we've sorta scrapped that map and want to take a new approach.
