hi
I use whatever palette supports the mood I want.
if I use a traditional 4 or five color palette I just stay in those color ranges.
once I get my color laid in I can use the color picker to select colors I like from my painting or I can twist the wheel til I get exactly what I want.
I try to use a specific palette with each painting...I especially like traditional color ranges. It is the same for me as oils...I just mix the color I want based on the preselected palette.
