Amazing Fred. You've put in really really good effort on this and you should be proud. That last piece is fantastic and the others came out great too. A bit too much life in the cafeteria pic now, but hey don't listen to me. It's just a matter of likes and not constructive. I do like how you rendered them and implied some of them. They look much better than you think. Don't beat yourself down so hard.
I also find it very interesting to look at these images as a serie that belongs together. Very good work, and I can't stop looking at this last one. _________________ The Dark Ages was caused by the Y1K problem. |

thanks mcma :)
yeah they're all scenes from the same book.
there's not much action in the book, it's a detecitve story and it's mostly talking and him figuring stuff out, nobody even shoots a gun - doesn't harm the book, but it would've been fun to do a pic of the Baley using his blaster.
I think the drawing is better, the rendition of the head still bugs me.
I think maybe it's the use of black, but I kind of what to keep that, so I dunno. the ear is a load of balls.

the kitchen looks fantastic.
with the other scene, i dunno what it is about the head, but it's weird. try experimenting with that a little more. keep it up |

Very nice Fred! The cafeteria pic turned out great imo, really like the contrast between the chatting people and the serious man. Nice feeling of emotions and atmosphere in all of them. |

I personally prefer the cityview one to the kitchens one. Not desperately keen on the background people in the kitchen.
Thanks misc, sumaleth, thank you, and watmough, very generous, really appreciate the good vibes. The eye seems okay to me, which probably marks my limitations.
I actually feel awful now thoguh: Given the files to the printers. A few alterations here and there, and I've postponed giving them the expressway pic because it's still a bit bloody. I got one more day for that.
I HATE printing, a total gamble with my bread money, not to mention my pass/failure! It's like descending into some evil dank lair.
I have a feeling one of the things that bugs me about the expressway one is that his jacket is too uniform in some respect (not sure which though!).
