Sat down for about an hour and did these
I usually draw with lines and outline what I'm doing first. With these I blocked in shapes and refined them, without using lines. Very hard for me to do. hmm. This was fun. And I have no idea how to do hair.
Cheers,

its looking good so far Elam, the hair on both of them are lookin pretty good, and i like the lighting on the girl.. The lighting on the guy could use a bit of work around the chin area..
The lighting on the female looks very good, only thing with her is that the nose looks very big and flat at the bottom..
Keep workin on it, I can't wait to see it finished..
Could you mind going a lil into how you did the hair? |

hmmm. I blocked it in and shaded it like a basic shape. Light source from the upper right and then I played around by adding streaks of lighter color in the shadow area. Like I said, I don't really know what I'm doing. The guys hair is harder because his hair is sticking up. It's not a smooth shape like the womans. Sorry I can't be more insightful.
