Faust : that was the point of it all.
El Furry Scottish Bastard : thanks It needs to be this wide though. Focuses on the alignment and it's sposed to be a poster (works fine as wallpaper as well, these dimensions).

Not sure what res you are on but you can get it in 1900x1200 .BMP if you like. Looks alot better than an upscaled JPG

Wow...more awesome Spitfire design schtuff There isn't alot happening is this and I think that's exactly what makes it work. I love the simplicity of it. I like it even better if around the type area(the swirly gear looking object) there was a little more of the bluish tones that are present in the wings. I think it's a little too warm green down there and it offsets the colder wings area--It draws my eyes away from the center. But the compression prolly fudged some of the colours up.
Since I'm here I wanted to take the chance to say that I think your work F#@$ing ROCKS!! I've always liked your stuff--I'm also a big fan of your site designs...Which by the way, I was wondering if your gonna be doing any new web-work soon...Your site hasn't been updated in a while HAH...Speaking of G-Flat my Dad just walked in the door with a new Accoustic

Dino, thanks. The original indeed has alot more color diversity, especially in the greenish background texture. Im anxiously awaiting the moment they make the web CMYK
Not sure on the site thing... might add some new sections soon but i dont think a redesign is to be expected. For the very first time im actually really happy with how the damn thing looks.

nice piece spitfire. no crit - or just too lazy, most probably the latter.
Are there any good links people can point me to in order to find out about CMYK, color theory, and eveything I need to know about print design?

Mantis, 'fraid not. I learned most of it because i used to work for a company that also did prepress (most covers for time life publications). You might want to go to a used bookstore and see if you can pick up schoolbooks on the subject. I know there are some around...
