Hey all,

Until now, I've only been using traditional media to creat art (aside from 3d) and have decided of late tha I would like to attempt digital art so am curious as to if anyone has purchased a Graphire Wacom tablet and if so, what were the results? Any negative aspects? I've checked out all the information and all the reviews seem to praise it and the only negatives being no printed manual and that there are of course better ones out there, but that the Graphire is perfect for an intermediate artist. Anyway, I would apreciate any feedback and thanks for listening...

from my experience with my small inexpensive one, I really do like it, and I assume that if your going into professional stuff most artists later on buy the better more expensive ones. I haven't heard this complaint from anyone else, but I always have an odd feeling when I rest my hand on it, I hate skin against the plastic I guess, so usually I put paper over my graphics tablet so it feels more natural

I'm using the graphire. Not because it's cheaper, I just wanted a small one. I was going to buy a intuos too, just to check if it's better at anything except it's bigger, but to be really honest, I don't think there is, except the size. So, if you like a small one, which I can ensure you that you will quickly get used to, there's no point in buying intuos.

If someone have experienced anything better with the intuos, I would seriously like to know, because then I will buy one ofc.

well, I've never actually used the bigger ones, but I can see where they would come in handy, since when using them you can get longer more fluid arm movements, as opposed to trying to fit all your detail into wrist movements. I'm probably talking out my arse though

yeah the large ones are if you're looking to get serious. If you are not worried about money and are serious i'd go bigger.
I have the Graphire it's cool and i was worried about blowin $300+, but now i'm looking to get a bigger one. so i may get something bigger.
