Hmm, I don't know. Photoshop has gotten to the point where everything they add just makes it take more and more memory, and gives a smaller and smaller benefit. You can only make a program so good. But I guess they need to keep making new versions to keep the shareholders happy.

I can't wait. I think Adobe is getting closer to what the minority of us wish it could do. Makes me wonder why they are taking the plunge into an area that most photoshop users don't care about. I mean, your average photoshop user would never even consider using it as a paint program. Us digital painters are the weirdo minorities that big companies usually ignore. I think it's great what they have done--as long as the performance of the program doesn't suffer because of it.

For the curious or the strong at heart, some links I wandered across. The first article even name-checks Craig Mullins!

looks interesting. I like the idea that you can see your new brush in a preview window. That can speed up making new brushes I think. I wonder if you can paint while having the brushwindows open though... well - just have to wait and see...

hope you're able to draw while the brush window's still open cause i hate to open the window everytime I wanna change the brush.
And if PS 7 is even more slower than PS 6 I never change from PS 5.5 to PS 7 - does anyone like PS 6 more than the 6.x versions?
